How it works

A quick reference for how calling works in Agency Pulse. Tap any topic for a plain explanation of what it does and what to expect. Full training videos are in the training library.

Your numbers
Getting, swapping, and why you have more than one

You call from Agency Pulse numbers, not your personal cell. Every call you place goes out from a business number we provision for you, so your real phone stays private and every call records and logs automatically.

Why get several numbers: local presence calling. People are far more likely to answer a call from their own state than an unknown out-of-state number. When you call a TX lead, the dialer calls them automatically from your TX number. Next lead is in FL? It automatically switches to your FL number. Calling a state you don't have a number in? We call from your closest geographic number (for example, a CA lead gets called from AZ, not NJ). Pick the states you actually dial in, and grab a number for each.

Getting, swapping, and releasing. You can add new numbers anytime from the Numbers tab, swap a number that's getting flagged as spam for a fresh one, or release numbers you no longer need. Your call and text history stays safe no matter what, it's saved under each lead, not under your number.

Important If you have a text thread with a lead, let them know you got a new number. Nothing changes on your end, but on their phone your new number looks like a new conversation, so the heads up tells them it's still you.

Getting past screeners, automatically. Some people have a screener on their phone (like Apple or Google) that answers first and asks who's calling before it lets the call through. When that happens, Agency Pulse instantly and quietly calls the same person again from one of your other numbers, which slips past the screener and rings them directly. This beats the majority of screeners and connects you straight to a real person. A few stubborn screeners don't fall for the bypass, but most of the time you slip right past. This works the same in every mode.

Single dial
One lead at a time, the classic way

The simplest way to call. One lead, one call, fully in your control. You open a lead, hit Call, and talk. When you're done, you move to the next lead yourself using the arrows and call again. Nothing happens automatically, you drive every call.

What to expect. You'll hear the phone ringing while it connects, just like calling from your cell. If they answer, you talk. If they don't, you decide what's next, leave a voicemail, send a text, or move on. You're free to move around the app while a call rings, and if you've wandered off, you're taken right to the lead's file the moment they pick up. It's the best mode when you want to take it slow and give each lead full attention.

Auto-advance
Hands-free calling that speeds up single dial

Single dial, but hands-free. Turn on auto-advance and the dialer keeps moving through your list for you. When a lead doesn't answer, it automatically moves to the next one and calls, so you're not clicking between every call. Think of it as putting your dialer on cruise control: you just talk to leads when they answer, and the dialer feeds you the next person. Pause or stop anytime.

It stops when someone real answers. The moment a live person picks up, auto-advance stops so you can have your conversation and take notes. You're free to move around the app while your calls ring, and wherever you are, you're taken right to the lead's file the second they pick up. When you're ready for the next one, you start it again yourself, it never dials a new lead right on top of a conversation you just had.

Call each lead more than once (optional). Most people ignore a number they don't recognize, but if that same number calls right back, they're far more likely to pick up. So you can set auto-advance to call each lead once, twice, or three times back-to-back before moving on. Two is a double dial, three is a triple dial. It's your choice in Dial Settings.

What to expect. A short 3-2-1 countdown appears before each automatic call so you're never surprised, and you can hit Pause or Stop anytime. Leads who already have an appointment, a scheduled next step, or are marked closed get skipped automatically, so you only call people who still need to be contacted.

Triple dialer
Call three leads at once, connect to whoever answers first

Three calls at once, connect to whoever answers first. Triple dialer is your fastest gear. Instead of calling one lead at a time, it calls three different people at the same time. The moment one of them actually picks up and says hello, you're instantly connected to that person and the other two calls drop off. Think of it as casting three lines at once and reeling in whoever bites first.

You won't hear it ringing, and that's on purpose. Three phones ringing in your ear at once would be chaos, so triple dialer stays quiet while it works. Instead of hearing the rings, you see all three people on screen with a live status next to each one, so you always know exactly who's ringing, who hit a voicemail, and who's still going. The second a real person answers, their name pops up big and you're taken right to their file.

Only a real person stops it. A voicemail or a screener on one line never cuts off the other two, they keep right on ringing. The only thing that connects you and drops the other calls is a live human actually answering. So you never get yanked off two good calls just because one hit a machine.

It keeps three lines going for you. As soon as one of the three finishes (say someone doesn't answer), the next lead on your list automatically takes their place and starts ringing. You've always got three people going at once until you connect with someone or reach the end of your list. You don't have to lift a finger to keep it moving.

Call each lead more than once (optional). Just like auto-advance, you decide how persistent to be. Set it to call each person once, twice, or three times back-to-back before moving on, right in Dial Settings. Most people ignore an unknown number the first time but pick up when it calls right back.

See who answered, instantly. Because you're free to move around the app while your lines ring, the second a real person picks up, their name flashes big on your screen so you know exactly who you're about to talk to, and you're taken straight to their file automatically. No scrambling to find them, no clicking around. You go from three ringing lines to talking to a real person with all their info right in front of you.

Campaigns
Pick up any list right where you left off

Never lose your place in a list again. A campaign is simply a bookmark of where you left off on a list. Any time you're dialing a list and step away, whether it's for a bathroom break, an application, or the end of the day, your spot is saved automatically. This works no matter how you're dialing: single dial, auto-advance, or triple dialer.

Work as many lists as you want. Say you get halfway through your Final Expense list, then switch over to your Mortgage Protection list, then remember you never finished Final Expense. Every list you touch keeps its own bookmark, so nothing ever gets left half-called and forgotten.

Everything you need at a glance. Open Campaigns anytime to see each list you've been working: how far you got, the last person you contacted, and when you last dialed it. Hit Resume on any of them to jump right back in exactly where you stopped.

You're always in your current gear. When you resume a list, it picks up using whatever your current dial settings are. The bookmark just remembers your spot, you decide how to dial it when you come back.

Where should inbound leads ring?

How do you want to dial?
Single dial calls one lead at a time. Triple dial calls three at once and connects you to the first real person who answers, so you spend more time talking and less time waiting.
Auto-advance Off

Moves through your list hands-free: on a no-answer it advances automatically. When a real person answers, it stops so you can talk and take notes.

How long should each call ring?
On triple dial, this is how long a line rings before moving on if no one picks up. Shorter means you skip more dead lines, but you may miss people who answer slow. Most agents leave it at 20 seconds.
